We produce this wine from select Sonoma, California
Chardonnay grapes to give it a welcome supple and slightly
buttery taste with layers of toast and spice. We feel Chardonnay
combines beautifully with grilled pork, chicken, fish, salads,
cream-based sauces and light red meat dishes.
Chardonnay goes best with
poultry or seafood, like lobster or scallops. Good cheeses for
Chardonnay include Gruyere, Provolone, and Brie. Chardonnay
should be served at mid 50F.
Actually born in France, not Italy, where it
mutated from the Pinot Noir red grape. Pinot Grigio’s skins have
a grayish blue hue that gives them their name. Pinot Grigio is
the second most popular white wine in America. Made from
Italian Trentino grapes ours is a zesty dry white wine with a punchy acidity
carrying flavors of lemons, limes, green apples and honeysuckle.
We find Pinot Grigio pairs
well with light dishes that are still on the "thick" side, like
chicken in a rich white sauce, or eggplant with heavy spices.
Pinot Grigio is a white wine, but it is able to hold its own
against richer flavors. It should be served at mid 40F.
Ours from Germany’s
Mosel region, is bottled to have one's taste buds enjoying its
Spätlese gentle sweetness that balances
Riesling's normal acidity . It has refined, vibrant aromas of
peaches, apricots and white fruit with floral and citrus blossom
notes. As it ages, it becomes a gorgeous pale yellow wine
the offers nuances of honeycomb, citrus peel, and dried fruits.
Although tastes vary,
we enjoy our Riesling with cheese, white meat, fishes and
especially turkey. Best served around 50F
Ice Wine (Eiswein). The Finest Wine We Make
Riesling is one of the
top white grapes in the world. Our premium, liquid gold, 5-Star Riesling Ice Wine
is made from grapes heralding from the Nahe region of Germany.
Having a light syrupy
consistency, it should be served in a cordial glass. It is
the perfect end to any meal and a great addition to favorite cocktails. Riesling’s acidity adds the perfect balance
to the intense sweetness. Sinfully delicious with intense
apricots, apples and pears on the nose, followed by
tempting flavors of honey and lychee that linger on the palate.
A specialty, unique sweet wine, our Riesling ice wine is made from prized, frozen, Riesling
grapes from Germany and made to surprise wine lovers with its body and
complexity. Served at about 50F, this golden nectar should be
sipped slowly to cherish its special charms.
Cabernet Sauvignon is one
of best dry red wines. Its ruby red fruit
characteristic is balanced by strong tannins. The soil in our
partner's Austrailian vineyards has renowned high calcium
carbonate content that imparts the distinctive and powerful
fruit quality which is the signature of fine, premium Cabernets.
We feel it’s a wine for choice cuts of beef or lamb and spirited
conversation with your luckiest friends. B
served between 60F and 65F.
Serve it in a large bowl, to provide ample surface area
for the wine's aromas to be smelled. The point here is not to
fill the glass full of a lot of wine - rather, it is to allow a
lot of the wine to interact with the air while it is sitting on
the table to help it develop the fullest flavors for our nose
and mouth to enjoy.
The pride of Tuscany, Italy, our powerful
classic is expressive on the palate with its lively aroma of
tart cherry fruits and sometimes violets and a brisk acidity
supported by ample smooth tannins. The region's well-known
Italian Sangiovese grapes, coupled to the wonderful derivative
from the oak, provides a
deep and lingering finish to this garnet wine.
Chianti is a very dry red wine that, like most Italian wines,
we found it tastes best with food
such as tomato-based sauces like marinara and pasta dishes. It's
also a good pair with light meat like lamb, chicken, fish or pork. These meats
have subtle flavors that are often masked by bigger, bolder
reds. Should be served at upper 50F.
We learned that Merlot red wine grapes
from Washington State produce flavors and aromas of black
cherry, berries, plum, chocolate, and some herbs. Ours, therefore is
perfectly balanced with powerful fruit and spice
flavors and mellow tannins from light warm oak that gives it a full
bodied Merlot supple finish accented by a spicy aroma.
Merlot is a perfect
match for chocolate or with beef and other medium-heavy dishes.
like a rich, red pasta dish, or a heavy chicken dish. Serve Merlot
at upper 50F.
A "difficult" grape, to grow, and to deal
with, but ours
is one of British Columbia's finest.
It is full-bodied and rich
but not heavy or high in alcohol, yet neither acidic nor tannic.
It is referred to as, "sex in a bottle" because of Its delicate
aromas of violets and luscious red fruit characteristics of
cherry, strawberry and raspberry. Silky tannins grip your palate
and end with a velvet, smooth finish. An elusive aftertaste of
spice and toasty vanilla makes you long for more.
Pinot Noir goes well with pasta with red
sauce, or lighter beef dishes. Also, any local game you might
have, or even goose would do well. It should be served at around
| Pink Moscato
wine is made from Italy's Piedmont Region grapes. It has a delightful,
subtle touch of sweetness with
flavors of orange blossoms, peach, vanilla and nectarines.
Its floral aromatics make this a sensational favorite among wine
lovers who enjoy lesser dry wines.
Our Moscato is a
versatile wine that pairs great with spicy appetizers, Chinese
take-out or sweet desserts. Best served mid-upper 50F.
